Murano Glass Frog – Avem, 1960s
Charming Murano glass sculpture attributed to AVEM (Arte Vetraia Muranense), dating from the 1960s.
This refined piece stands out for the quality of its craftsmanship and materials: the body is made of transparent emerald green glass, while the underside features white lattimo glass, characteristic of Murano tradition. The applied eyes are composed of white and black murrine. On the back, beneath the clear glass layer, a silver leaf is embedded, creating a subtle, shimmering metallic effect reminiscent of a frog’s skin.
A decorative object full of character, representative of mid-20th century Venetian glass production, ideal for Murano glass collectors.
