Born in Toulouse on October 9, 1935, he entered the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Toulouse in 1952 to emerge Laureate. In 1958, he qualified for the Prix de Rome for painting. In 1967, he became Professor of Drawing and Painting, holding the Chair and appointed Professor of Architectural Drawing at the Atelier Supérieur. At the same time, Rémy held a dozen exhibitions a year. His paintings are largely inspired by his countless travels. A monumental canvas of Venice is on display at the Musée Contemporain des Abattoirs. His imagination was fertile. "A painter has to work every day!" he liked to say, working day and night.
