Elegant bonheur-du-jour writing table in Louis XVI style, made of polished mahogany and adorned with mouldings, fluted columns, and brass rings.
The upper section features a back mirror framed by fluted columns, surmounted by a moulded cornice.
The top includes a drawer concealing a small retractable writing surface, typical of ladies’ furniture from the period.
The piece stands on four tapered legs connected by a shaped stretcher, centred by a rectangular Carrara marble shelf, in a fine white tone veined with grey.
French work, late 19th century, of fine craftsmanship and neoclassical inspiration.
