Charles X chandelier in a basket shape, Feuillet Manufactory in Paris. Circa 1830. Porcelain basket with painted decoration of a garland of flowers framed by cobalt blue borders adorned with friezes of gilt palmettes. Created by the Feuillet Manufactory in Paris (Restoration period). Six gilt bronze candle arms with gadrooned horns decorated with acanthus leaves and terminating in flowers surmounted by bobeches. The dome is crowned with a bronze wreath richly ornamented with small flowers in a frieze against a background of foliage, surmounted by a frieze of intertwined bunches of grapes and vine leaves within crossed ogives. The chandelier is supported by three chains adorned with palmettes, attached to the central wreath by three consoles with acanthus leaves from which emerge swan necks and heads. The three chains join an upper wreath decorated with projecting palmettes.
