Regional walnut and marquetry wardrobe – 18th century period. Beautiful 18th century walnut wardrobe, richly decorated with marquetry, offering a warm and highly decorative ambiance. The front opens with a single, molded and shaped door, featuring superb walnut panels. The upper frieze is adorned with marquetry depicting two stylized birds framing a floral motif, lending a touch of naive elegance. The lower section features a built-in drawer in the apron, decorated with marquetry fillets and scroll carvings, resting on cabriole legs ending in scrolls. The cabinet retains its original ironwork, with an ornate keyhole escutcheon, the original surface-mounted lock, and its key. The interior, made of natural wood, is fitted with two shelves offering ample storage space. The top is crowned with a molded cornice, typical of regional production from Eastern France (Lorraine).
