Louis XV-style Cabinet With Marquetry
Luxurious small French Louis XV-style piece of furniture in marquetry and burr (root) briar veneer, with lemon-tree fillets, solid rosewood legs adorned with its gilded bronzes. The writing surface is covered with red leather and the piece of furniture has 4 matching drawers at the top and 5 drawers at the bottom. The top is also decorated with a candlestick and a white candle.
It was probably commissioned to a cabinetmaker by a collector of French fashion dolls.
It was made during the first half of the 20th century.
Unfortunately, the small watch at the top of the cabinet is not in working order.
It is in perfect condition!
