An 18th-century slant-front desk veneered in mahogany, satinwood, rosewood, and native woods, decorated with closed friezes. It opens with three drawers in the frieze and a drop-front revealing four drawers, two niches, and a secret drawer, as well as a green leather top embossed with gold. It rests on cabriole legs adorned with gilt and chased bronze mounts. A very fine example. Louis XV period
