The desk rests on four cabriole Louis XV legs, each ending in a shell motif adorned with a clasp and an acanthus leaf. The front features beautiful molding and a large drawer with a flowing, curved shape, mirroring the legs. The interior of the roll-top contains three drawers surmounted by a columned canopy. The writing surface extends forward to enlarge the work area. The leather is original and shows minor signs of wear. The interior of the roll-top is made of solid and veneered mahogany.
