Perfume Bottle, 18th Century, Green Shagreen , Hallmarked Silver, Good Condition
A beautiful 18th-century display piece in remarkably well-preserved condition, this pocket perfume bottle, inside pink silk, contains two small, flat glass bottles, each with its own emery glass stopper (one of which is stuck), concealed beneath a gilt silver cap. Each bottle bears an hallmark and there is a small gilt silver funnel on top.
The entire set is housed in a green shagreen case with a secure closure and gilt hinges and rivets.
Thius case is in very good condition: the green shagreen, speckled with black, has no chips or repairs.
Dimensions: bottles: 6.2cm high x 2cm wide; case: 7.5cm high x 6cm wide x 2.2cm wide.
