Large Reservist Pipe
Large reservist pipe, 1220 mm long. Complex construction of stacked motifs (cubes, horseshoe, horse's head, etc.) in horn and porcelain, alternating with slices of stag antler. The polychrome porcelain bowl features a lemon-yellow shoulder strap with the number 67 (4. Magdeburgisches Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 67, stationed in Metz) against a background of falling flags. The bowl cover is in the form of a small spiked helmet made of sheet steel. A soft rubber mouthpiece terminates the pipe, allowing the pipe to be smoked upright while seated. A fine reservist item dated 1906.
