Important Carved Candlestick, Louis XIV Period
An important, molded and richly carved natural wood candlestick, baluster-shaped with several constrictions, decorated with gadroons, scrolls, acanthus leaves, lambrequins, tendrils, shells, etc., resting on a tripartite base with cherubs at the corners and cartouches displaying three religious symbols, such as the Sacred Heart (wear, damage, missing pieces, feet replaced).
