Beautiful bright view of a part of the Square du Vert-Galant in Paris, Ile de la Cité. The painter was able to show the diffusion of light on the ground and the vegetation and to highlight the Parisian street lamps of the Belle Époque. Annotation on the back: Ile de la Cité, Monnaie lock. No signature. Oil on canvas 55x38 cm in very good condition. A small unpainted part at the bottom left, possibly an unfinished work, which could explain the absence of a signature. Relining quite recent as a conservation measure, no restorations.
