Julien Girardin (1824-1896) https://artlorrain.com/julien-girardin A genre, landscape, and flower painter, he was born in Plombières in the Vosges region in 1824 and died there in 1896. He exhibited a View Taken in the Vosges at the Salon of 1854, which was purchased by Prince Jérôme Bonaparte. Settling in North Africa from 1862, he specialized in genre painting with an Orientalist influence. He participated in the Paris Salons from 1855 to 1869, exhibiting a Flower Seller, Moorish Women, a Land of Thirst (1866) acquired by the Épinal Museum, and landscapes.
