Georges Malissard, born in 1877 in Auzin , was a French sculptor whose work testifies to an aesthetic quest and remarkable technical mastery .
G. Malissard gradually established himself as an innovative artist .
He managed to infuse his sculptures with a dynamic dimension , capturing emotions and movements with undeniable finesse .

It was at the very beginning of the 20th century that , through a friend of his father who greatly admired his sculptural gifts , he met the illustrious master Emmanuel Fremiet , who strongly encouraged him to persevere .
From then on , his decision was made , he would devote himself exclusively to sculpture .
Very quickly, he began exhibiting in various Salons .
Or wild , diverse animal representations came to life in his agile hands .
The equestrian subject , whose anatomy and postures he perfectly understood , logically became his specialty .

As early as 1910 , Emperor Guillaume II , commissioned him to paint portraits of his horses .
This marked the beginning of a success that would continue to grow .
Numerous requests from the world's elite followed : King George V , Alfonso XIII , Albert I , Marshals Lyauthey , Joffre, Foch , and many others became his patrons .
From then on , he worked exclusively on commission .

Georges Malissard passed away in 1942 , leaving behind a sophisticated and high-quality body of work , now preserved in Museums and prestigious French and European collections .
