Pair of substantial vintage Empire-style lamps from the 1940s/50s. A very beautiful pair in black lacquered sheet metal with brass rings, in excellent original condition. The electrical system has been serviced with a pull-chain switch allowing for single or double lighting. The original lampshades are in excellent condition with a few small, light stains on the inside, but these are not visible from the outside. The light is very soft and diffused thanks to the texture of the shades. Large size: total height 98 cm. Height of lamp below shade 55 cm.
