Gilt Bronze Group Depicting A Buddhist Deity – Asian Work
A superb, finely chased gilt bronze group depicting a central, multi-armed deity seated in meditation on a lotus-shaped base, flanked by two secondary seated figures. The principal deity, richly adorned with jewelry and wearing an elaborate crown, has numerous outstretched arms, each holding or suggesting symbolic attributes. She is positioned above a stylized mythical animal (likely a lion or a protective creature) resting on a circular base decorated with traditional motifs. On either side, two secondary figures seated on decorative consoles complete the composition, bringing balance and harmony to the whole. A high-quality piece, with a beautiful gilt patina and finely detailed decoration, demonstrating remarkable craftsmanship.
