Modernist Art Deco Vase, Saint-clément, Model 777, Circa 1930
A beautiful Art Deco glazed ceramic vase from the Saint-Clément factory, model 777, dating from the 1930s.
With an architectural and strongly geometric form, it features a series of stepped, beveled sections. The particularly graphic design combines cobalt blue and midnight blue triangles and diamonds on an ivory-white background with crackled glaze.
This highly structured, almost architectural composition is characteristic of the modernist Art Deco movement of the 1930s.
Stamped “SC France 777” in relief on the underside of the base.
In very good overall condition. A few small chips and signs of wear, mainly on the base, consistent with the piece’s age. See photo
