Large cylindrical mug in beige lead-glazed stoneware with a dark gray decoration of stylized floral medallions surrounded by applied scenes of running deer. It has a pewter lid with a ball thumb rest.
An unidentified maker's mark of a pewter potter/accessory maker is found inside the lid: the initials AR within a crowned O. Height: 26 cm.
Westerwald, circa 1740.

In very good condition, however, a crack is present on the base.
