Louis XVI Napoleon III Breche Violette Marble Fireplace

An exceptional and rare antique fireplace crafted in the late 19th century from Breche Violette marble, this example is remarkable both for the rarity of the marble and the quality of its workmanship. Its solid frieze, carved from a single block of marble, is decorated with fluting and rosettes. The feet are sculpted with acanthus leaves, and the sides are paneled. It is sold with its beautiful cast iron fireback, available now in our showroom.
