Of faceted deep blue glass, this finely wrought miniature scent bottle is enclosed within an elegant silver filigree cage mount retaining traces of its original gilding. The domed screw-cap is similarly decorated with scrolling filigree ornament and fitted with a suspension loop, indicating that it was intended to be worn on a chain or ribbon. Particularly notable is the survival of the original clear glass stopper, a rare and desirable feature in objects of this kind.
