Lot Of Three Dutch/german Snuffboxes, 18th Century.
From left to right: - a snuffbox with courtly scenes and hunting scenes, inscription incised on the front: Regt Door Zee - Johann Heinrich Giese, maker of two snuffboxes of different sizes, one depicting Ferdinand, Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg, and the victory at Mindae celebrated on August 1, 1759, and the other side featuring the profile of Frederick II the Great. Identical model held in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, no. 89.2.13. Box number 2 with slightly worn decoration. Box number 3 with a weld seam on the back.
