Chest of drawers concealing a child's writing desk from the Louis XV - Louis XVI transition period, stamped on the right upright Isaac Simon Rebour and Jurande JME mark. Writing desk in rosewood veneer inlaid with butterfly wings and rosewood frame, topped with a Sainte-Anne gray marble. Bronze pull handles decorated with a laurel torus. Uprights with cut sides and slightly curved feet characteristic of the Transition style. The flap reveals a theater of four drawers, one of which is reserved for the inkwell. Isac Simon Rebour (born in February 1735) was admitted Master on July 15, 1767. He began in the Faubourg Saint-Antoine before obtaining his mastery. He lived successively in the streets of Charonne, Montreuil and Roquette. Condition: a small lack of marquetry, slight cracking of the veneer, stamp partially erased
