Elegant Art Nouveau style sugar spoon in solid silver (Minerva head hallmark, 950/1000 fineness).
The round bowl is richly engraved with butterflies and floral motifs and has a vermeil (gilt silver) interior.
The handle is decorated with stylized foliage typical of the naturalist taste of the late 19th century.
Lozenge-shaped silversmith's hallmark with the initials E.E. and a central symbol, attributed to the Parisian silversmith Ernest Eschwege.
