First 19th Century Oriental Style Ebony Table With Inlays
Elegant side table in carved and ebonized wood, characterized by a refined oriental style. The frame and three-legged legs feature elaborate moldings, and the feet are also adorned with a delicate gilded pictorial decoration with phytomorphic motifs. The table top stands out for its sophisticated elegance, with a border band embellished with mother-of-pearl inlays. In the center, an oriental figurative scene is masterfully painted and enriched with additional mother-of-pearl inlays. In this floral landscape, there are three figures, including a main figure sitting on an ox, holding a sceptre, flanked by twosmaller figures, probably part of his entourage, who carry objects. The exquisite decoration of this table makes it a piece of considerable value and elegance, capable of enriching any environment with class. French manufacture, orientalstyle, early 19th century (ca. 1820).
