Pair Of Genoese Neoclassical Mirrors, Formerly Cantaglorie Elements – Late 18th Century
Interesting pair of small Ligurian Neoclassical mirrors made in Genoa in the late 18th century. These pieces were originally decorative elements from cantaglorie or ecclesiastical furnishings, later adapted as mirrors. The frames are made of carved wood with lacquer and partial gilding, featuring the characteristic light green lacquer often found in Genoese production of the late 18th century. On the sides are carved decorative elements with vegetal and foliate motifs, adding movement and elegance to the composition. The mirrors show the natural oxidation and patina of time, consistent with their age.Charming decorative objects, ideal for enhancing a wall or for use in a composition of antique mirrors.Period: Late 18th centuryOrigin: Genoa, Liguria, ItalyMaterial: carved, lacquered and gilded woodDimensions:Height 25 cmWidth 17 cm
