Side Table From The Dauphiné Region, 18th Century
An 18th-century side table from the Dauphiné region. The turned top rests on a central marquetry in the shape of a Templar cross. It is supported by a rosewood and boxwood stringing. This same decoration is repeated on the drawers, adorned with bronze knobs set on rosettes, and on the keyhole escutcheons, also set on rocaille motifs. The shelf and the stretcher create a balance with the wide frame. It features slender, cabriole legs. This ceremonial piece was used in the center of a room thanks to its four high-quality sides. A rare model. Delivery is possible but not included in the price.
