"L'Epée" Venetian Officer's Clock with Moon Phases - France - 20th Century. This L'Epée travel clock is equipped with an 8-day mechanical movement. Its polished brass case features beveled glass. This Venetian model incorporates the most complete L'Epée 21 movement: it includes a striking mechanism, a repeater on demand, moon phases, day, date, and an alarm. L'Epée officer's clocks made in France, although highly prized, are increasingly rare in good condition. French L'Epée clocks were manufactured in Sainte-Suzanne. They bear the L'Epée hallmark on the back plate. Mechanical movement, 8-day power reserve: - hour display, - hour and half-hour striking, - repeater function (push-button), - alarm, - date display, - day of the week display. Supplied with a brass key. Mint condition with no wear to the gilding and no scratches. All functions are in perfect working order. Weight: 2.5 kg
