Antique Reliquary With A Relic Of "ss. Pluri. Mm." – 18th Century
Oval reliquary containing a relic identified by the label “SS. Pluri. MM.” (Sanctorum plurimorum Martyrum – relics of several holy martyrs). The reliquary consists of a central compartment under glass surrounded by metal filigree wirework and small glass stones. The interior is decorated with textile brocade and gilt wire forming baroque ornamental motifs, with a small relic fragment mounted on gauze. The front shows a wax or plaster relief medallion depicting three standing figures. Devotional monastic work typical of 18th-century reliquaries.
