Marie-louise Batardy “in The Attic” Naïve Art Painting
This work, dated 1976, is by a painter born in Brussels in 1943. She studied visual arts and taught drawing for a year before moving to Argentina, where she spent four years working in sculpture and various crafts. After returning to Belgium, she devoted herself entirely to painting joyful, colorful, and naive works, which brought her immediate success. Ref: femmespeintres.be. She is one of the most renowned naive artists in Belgium. One of her works is exhibited at the Museum of Naive Art in Paris.
