Antique & large bust in the classical style dating from the mid-19th century. A very fine souvenir of the Grand Tour. Bust depicting the emperor Lucius Verus. Very fine quality of chasing, medal patina. 50cm high. Good condition. Adoptive brother and co-emperor with Marcus Aurelius, Lucius Verus (130-169) is identifiable by his curly hair, as on the bronze kept at the Louvre from the Campana collection.
