Oil on panel. Signed and dated. The souk of Marrakech is an explosion of light, a gaping wound in time, a labyrinth where reality is laid bare under the lash of a mercurial sun. The alleyways are not streets, but arteries through which flows a blood thick with spices, donkey sweat, and angel urine, a theater of shadows where the sun's rays pierce the thatched roofs like divine thrusts, tracing a calligraphy of gold and smoke on the floating dust. Dimensions of the work without frame: 35 x 27 cm / 45 x 38 cm with a custom frame.
