Rare CAPRON table, circa 1950-60, model from the "Le Soleil" series, an emblematic work by Roger Capron. Made of chamotte clay and glazed ceramic, bearing the stamp of the Capron workshop in Vallauris, it features a radiating vegetal motif adorned in the center with a bas-relief sculpted Cubist figure. This model is commonly described as the result of a collaboration between Jean Derval and Roger Capron, commissioned for the decoration of the Hôtel Byblos and La Pinède in Saint-Tropez. The table rests on an architecturally designed brushed steel base (with oxidation). Good condition, height 30 cm, tabletop 42 cm x 42 cm
