Superb Winchester Model 1873 rifle, manufactured in 1882 (during the American West expansion).
44-40 WCF caliber with a round barrel.
Number of these rifles manufactured in 1882: 27,886.
It retains most of its original bluing. (There is some corrosion on one side of the barrel bridle.)
The wooden parts are in good condition. (Note the holes from a previous sling for carrying it over the shoulder.)
