A superb small enameled gold pendant watch. On the back, beneath a two-tone gold flower garland, a polychrome enamel cherub serenades the wearer with his mandolin.
The enamel of both the dial and the figure is intact.
Hallmarked with the "horse's head" mark on the case, the crown, and both covers.
The movement has been professionally serviced.
No breaks or repairs. All three hinges function.

Hallmark of the "Société Générale des Monteurs de Boîtes d'Or" (established April 7, 1880, in Besançon). The "horse's head right" hallmark for small gold items (1838/1919) was replaced by the "eagle's head" hallmark after 1919.
