The young woman is portrayed in a natural and graceful pose, her body slightly turned and her gaze directed to the side. She rests her arm on the head of a stylized lion, which serves as a fountain mask, from which a stream of water flows.
This composition evokes the decorative fountain and garden designs that were very popular in the 18th century. The modeling is delicate and sensitive, with particular attention paid to the anatomy and movement of the body.
The hair, rendered in soft strands, and the elegant pose recall the neoclassical and naturalistic aesthetic characteristic of late 19th-century academic sculpture. The work rests on a circular base integrated into the composition.
