A beautiful, colorful work by one of the masters of Provençal painting, François Nardi, depicting sailboats in the Toulon harbor. In the foreground, two sailboats with orange sails are seen sailing at sea.
Through his numerous small touches of color on the water, the painter gives depth to his work and offers us a sublime reflection of the orange sails in the water.
The background offers us a view of the naval fleet.
The artist has a complete mastery of light, which perfectly captures the light of a sunny day in the Toulon harbor.
Born to Italian parents, François Nardi became a naturalized French citizen.
