A small clock with a double patina, depicting Love triumphing over war, resting on a white marble base supported by four toupie feet. Love leans on the dial and presents a medallion adorned with a profile after the antique. On the other side, a helmet rests on a shield, symbolizing war. The enamel dial with Roman numerals is signed Prosper Roussel in Paris. Louis XVI style. Napoleon III period, circa 1870.
