These two exquisite depictions are presented in very fine period frames with turquoise-edged mats and black and gold fillets. This tribute to the Marquise, favorite of Louis XV, reflects the King's mistress's interest in the applied arts. A very beautiful, ornate Baroque cartouche bearing her famous coat of arms with three towers frames the two charming scenes where three young children practice their art.
