A beautiful pair of decorative panels in hand-embroidered silk, depicting birds perched on flowering branches in a Japanese style. The design, finely executed in polychrome silk threads, features beautiful relief work with pink flowers and a blue bird in an elegant and highly decorative composition. Each embroidery is signed MB at the bottom. The pieces are presented in their original frames with red velvet borders and gold trim, typical of mid-20th-century decorative taste.
