Empire Desk
Empire style mahogany desk, dating from the 1950s. Column legs with a stretcher. It features two retractable shelves that increase the work surface. The four corners of the original tan leather top are adorned with gilt imperial eagles. Bronze mounts on all four sides. Palmette and lyre decoration on the sides. Five drawers in the front, with locks that operate with three keys. A centerpiece, decorated on all four sides. Good condition. (One small chip in the veneer on the front of a drawer.) Height under drawer: 62 cm
