Robert Marc (1943 - 1993) - Abstract Composition

A beautiful oil on canvas by Robert Marc (1943-1993), signed in the lower center. A Cubist work – abstract forms, some cool colors. Influenced by Futurism, Cubism, and the Russian Avant-garde. Robert Marc was born on May 10, 1943, in Auxerre. He spent part of his youth between Switzerland and France, notably attending the École Nouvelle de la Suisse Romande in Lausanne. Upon his return to France, Robert Marc honed his technique at an art school in the Paris region and lived in Paris until the late 1960s, where he frequented the artistic circles and the city's major museums. In 1988, the Artko Gallery in Toulouse organized his first solo exhibition. The following year, he traveled to the United States to exhibit at the Barry Friedman Gallery in New York. Before his death at the age of 49 in 1993, he also exhibited in Switzerland, France, and Japan. Between 1994 and 1995, two exhibitions paid tribute to him in Paris and New York.
