Louis Philippe Porcelain Plate With Sèvres Marks, Château De Fontainebleau
A striking porcelain plate bearing the arms of King Louis Philippe with a royal crown. The reverse bears the Sèvres mark from 1837, a barely legible blue mark, and the mark of the Château de Fontainebleau, possibly apocryphal. There is a small, old repair to a tiny chip (see photos). A gilt garland surrounds the monogram; the gilding shows wear. Diameter: 24 cm
