Enameled And Gilded Porcelain Box, 19th Century
A porcelain box with a scalloped lid, resting on a richly ornamented, curved base. The deep cobalt blue background is enhanced by a relief decoration highlighted with fine gilding in rocaille motifs and foliate scrolls. The front features a polychrome central reserve depicting a lively landscape of classical architecture, delicately framed by a gilt cartouche. The interior of the lid, in white enamel, is decorated with finely painted floral bouquets in vibrant colors, accompanied by small scattered flowers. The reverse bears a printed inscription mentioning "Le Charlatan" after Lingelbach, as well as a painted blue mark, indicating a 19th-century European production in the style of prestige porcelain.
