When the scorching summer heat offers respite to the flowers, Pomona bestows her fertile gifts upon the fields and gardens: Muscat grapes, velvety peaches, and apricots with crimson cheeks, tinged by the setting sun. Under this brushstroke of amber light, the fruits are offered with delightful boldness, bursting with amber and topaz juices, as if distilled from the amphorae of an Olympian feast. Each cluster, heavy and translucent like an enamel jewel, sways among the foliage with the languor of an odalisque on her silk bed, while the air, saturated with intoxicating aromas, seems to pause to contemplate this vibrant still life, where matter itself is divinized under the chisel of an eternal and magnificent summer.
