Magnificent and imposing piece of Napoleon III period woodwork in wood and stucco depicting a scene with cherubs playing music.
Originally intended as a door panel, we present it as a headboard. I
t is a highly sculpted piece with beautifully detailed cherubs surrounding a flower-filled urn on a pedestal.
Its substantial dimensions (171.5 cm wide) make it a very decorative object.
In good original condition, with some minor repairs. It appears to have been repainted a few years ago.
This is a very heavy piece of woodwork (between 30 and 40 kg), so proper hanging will be necessary.
The result is a rare find on the market, which could be repurposed for use above a door, as a headboard, or simply as a decorative piece on a wall.
