Empire-style Detachable Four-poster Bed In Walnut, 19th Century
Empire Bed in Solid Walnut with Front Columns – 19th Century. A beautiful Empire bed in solid walnut, French work from the 19th century. The model features two detached front columns, topped with balls and highlighted with bronze rings, characteristic elements of Empire furniture from the first half of the 19th century. The rear posts are solid and understated, in keeping with period designs intended to be placed against a wall. The entire piece is made of solid walnut, showcasing a beautiful natural grain and a warm patina. The lines are architectural, balanced, and of great neoclassical restraint. The bed retains its original bedding: a slatted base and wool mattress in good condition, forming a coherent set. The structure is sound and stable. Dimensions: Height: 117 cm; Total Width: 197 cm; Total Depth: 131 cm; Interior Dimensions: Length: 186 cm; Width: 110.5 cm. Overall, in excellent condition.
