Provençal Louis XV Style Center Table From The 18th Century
18th Century Provençal Center Table – Walnut. A beautiful 18th-century Provençal center table in solid walnut. It rests on four cabriole legs with supple, balanced lines, characteristic of southern furniture from the second half of the 18th century. The apron, finely undulating on all four sides, opens with four drawers, two in the front and two on the sides, allowing it to be used as a true center table. This arrangement is typical of tables designed to be seen and used from all sides. The canted top has beautiful proportions and a warm, aged patina. The walnut grain is elegant and deep, highlighting the authenticity of the regional Provençal craftsmanship. Made in the South of France, circa 1760-1780. An authentic, stable, and sound piece of furniture, with a striking presence despite its compact size. Ideal as a center table, small desk, or statement piece in a period or country chic interior. Dimensions: Height: 69 cm Length: 84 cm Depth: 60.5 cm Good overall condition.
