Jacques Tisseyre, René Prou, Pomone, Drawing, Interior Decoration, Art Deco, Watercolor, Gouache, 1925
Artist: Jacques Tisseyre Pour René Prou
Provenance: From the studio collection of Jacques Tisseyre, interior designer for Le Bon Marché department store, 1920s-1930s. Watercolor and gouache designs over pencil sketches for living room furniture and its decoration, dating from 1925-1930, by Jacques Tisseyre. These designs come from a collection of furniture and interior decoration projects for apartments, houses, offices, and shops, circa 1920-1930-1940, executed in gouache by this artist-decorator who worked for the Atelier d'Art du Bon Marché and the Atelier Pomone under the direction of René Prou, among others. In the last photos, you'll see a drawing portfolio by the artist and a 1928 advertising poster for Atelier Pomone, made of thick cardboard (not included in the sale). One is monogrammed JT in the lower right corner. I also have numerous pencil tracings of interior design projects by the same artist; the moving work of many years of activity! Several other studio drawings by Jacques Tisseyre are available in my gallery. Please feel free to take a look! Please note that I respond to all inquiries about my items.
