Bordeaux Sign Bordeaux Autonomous Port
Ink and three interlaced crescents. For some, the three crescents represent the three bends of the Garonne River within the city limits, or the confluence of the Garonne, Dordogne, and Gironde rivers. For others, they originate from the coat of arms of Diane de Poitiers or King Henry II of France. The Diana monogram, composed of three interlaced crescent moons, is also traditionally associated with Diana the Huntress, the ancient goddess. The downward-pointing crescent moon is also traditionally associated with Diana the Huntress.
