Charles Christofle Large Serving Tray, Mid-19th Century

Large silver-plated metal serving tray with hallmarks on the reverse from the renowned silversmith Christofle, an antique hallmark used from 1844 to 1860, during the lifetime of the founder Charles Christofle. Heavy silver plating, hallmark 90. The design features a rich decoration of vine leaves and bunches of grapes, with engraved interlacing patterns on the base.
